| 5. | Important On-Going Projects | 1. New Biplaner DSA machines and 160 slice CT machines have been installed at KEM Hospital. A new state-of-art MRI machine (70 cm gantry), 128 slice PET CT Scan, has been installed at KEM Hospital. Biplaner DSA machines at K.E.M., is being proposed. 2. BMC is implementing comprehensive Healthcare Management System for all BMC health institutions in order to provide efficient healthcare services to the citizens by re-engineering the existing manual processes. A contract has been awarded for development, installation and commissioning of Hospital Management Information System during the financial year 2016 - 2017. 3. 5 New Modular Operation Theatres will be commissioned in the coming year. 4. KEM plans to add more ventilators and to have "ventilator for every ICU bed" in next two years. |

Medical college and KEM Hospital to undertake the activities of Regional Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (ROTTO) for western region of country and activities of State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) from State of Maharashtra within the budget earmarked for ROTTO. Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital has been recognized as Regional Resource Centre for the Western Region of India i.e. states of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa under National Medical Colleges Network to be established by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. In the first phase 5 Medical Colleges of the region will be connected to KEM Hospital through National Knowledge Network(NKN) |
